Marianne Dages, Objects of Unknown Use, letterpress, Risograph, and laser print artist’s book, Edition of 50, Published by Huldra Press, Philadelphia, PA, 2017

Objects of Unknown Use is a book about aliens and death, inspired by reading first hand accounts of UFO and alien encounters, a catalogue of all the objects in The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, and R.O. Faulkner's translation of The Egyptian Book of the Dead. This book combines two narrative threads into a science fiction style poetic text that weaves and intertwines with atmospheric imagery. The text is letterpress printed on a Vandercook No. 4 in Cooper and Futura.
